I have always loved placing statues in my garden; they add personality and interest.

My favorite and oldest is my little girl statue. I never named her so she remains “my little girl”. She has been with me many years gracing every garden I’ve had. I love how she looks ready to take a bow standing amidst the Black Eyed Susans.

She enhances every photo setting.

And makes an appearance in all seasons.

Spring

Summer

Fall

Winter

The statue is made of concrete. Our winters here are cold and having concrete statues insures they can remain outside throughout the season and not crack. Eventually the concrete weathers over time giving the statue an aged look, which I like.

Years ago when I had a vegetable garden I added Peter Rabbit to the scene.

Mother Duck with her two babies all in a row adds whimsy to the garden.

Another favorite: an angel hiding in purple Lavender.

I hope you enjoyed my post. I’d love to hear from you.

Do you have statues in your garden?

  1. What a beautiful post! I have a wooden St. Francis statue in a pot under the eaves of the house. Out in the weather are a small turtle, small iron bird, and tiny chipmunk! Glad to find your blog.

I love St Francis statues; I had a cement St Francis statue while living in CT. I gifted it to my niece when I moved.
I’m sure your small turtle, iron bird, and tiny chipmunk add personality to your garden. 😊
